CRISIS CABINET
Expanded single-player game: Democracy, Development, Control, and Legitimacy
Your mission
You are the emergency cabinet of a country in crisis. Prices are rising. People are protesting. The state is strained. Elections are coming. Every decision helps something and hurts something else.
This expanded version has seven required rounds and one optional lightning round. Each answer must be at least ten words. That is not because the game is cruel. It is because political reasoning with fewer than ten words usually becomes, “vibes.”
How to play
- All four scores start at 5.
- Choose A, B, C, or D each round.
- Write at least ten words explaining your choice.
- Scores stay between 0 and 10.
- Some choices trigger pressure events later.
- The final reveal diagnoses your regime and political strategy.
Progress
Round 1
0 words. Minimum 10.

Current scoreboard
The tags are not extra scores. They track the political style of your choices.
A cabinet meeting where every option is bad. Very realistic. Depressingly good simulation design.

Political logic
Your 30-second report
1Which choice was most tempting but dangerous?
2Did you protect democracy and still keep stability?
3What does this show about development, state power, nationalism, protest, and regime change?
Comparative politics is about tradeoffs. A tragic sentence, but accurate.
